I am not going to touch on that. That's probably the most accurate answer I can think of.

It was the only one I could come up with. Glad to see we agree again. ;D

Yes, it is!
Oh, you know what other soap is kinda getting screwed up right now? ATWT. Since Hogan Sheffer got fired as head writer, the storylines are almost starting to fall flat.

I noticed that too.
What gets me is why do companies fire the writers that have good stories and keep the ones that suck? Makes no sense to me.

I don't know, but I don't think I want to know the answer. Maybe the head honchos think their writing is good without listening to the viewers' opinions first. I don't know.

Haven't they realized it is viewer's that keep their shows on the air? Without US they have no show.

When it comes to TPTB at DAYS, GH, PASSIONS, and, at times, GL, not really.

I just don't understand. If I were writing anything I would want to write what people would want to read or watch.

I know. I'd like to write storylines that would pull in vets of the show instead of all these newbies. Not that all of them are terrible. Some are quite good. But the vets are even more important, as they're part of all the shows' histories.

Yes I totally agree.

With that said, DAYS does have a lot of its vets on the front-burner. It's pretty much the only soap doing that. Well, that and ATWT. And Y&R and B&B, for the most part. Anyway, two long-running characters I'd love to see in a front-burner story are Mickey and Maggie. Their back-burner story sucks.

True. But if David Lockhart returns then maybe it will bring Mickey and Maggie to the front.

Well, considering it's not the Mickey I loved watching for years, I don't think it's something I'd really want.

I know. I really miss John Clarke. He will always be the only Mickey for me. After all these years it is hard to see someone else as Mickey.

I agree. John Ingle is okay, but he was better off playing GH's Edward Quartermaine. They could've at least stuck with Richard Voigts as Mickey. I actually felt Mickey in him.
