I just want everyone on this board to know that next week, I'll be absent most of the time. On this day, August 2, 2005, at about 5:30 P.M., my paternal grandfather died in his sleep. He'd been sick for quite a while. My family is completely devastated. We will be heading down to his home in Virginia to bury him in Arlington National Cemetery because he was in the military. His four children (three from his first marriage, which included my dad, and one from his second), his brothers, and all six of his grandchildren (including myself) will be there. It'll be a very sad day, I'll tell you that. So, that's it. I just thought I'd let you all know that.

Thank you. You're so kind. The service was wonderful, by the way, and there were a lot of tears shed for him. Including mine. Which is embarassing, because I'm 21 and shouldn't be crying.

I am 36 and I still cry. Its ok. It is hard losing a loved one. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Again, thank you.
Really? Not to be hurtful at all, but you look older than that.

No offense taken. I feel older than that too most days.

Seriously? I feel younger than my age most days. So much younger, I don't like the idea of maturing at all.

Who said anything about maturing? Not me. That would probably cut out my fun. And I am not going to let that happen.

I just meant me maturing. I don't want to do that, even though I know I have to.

Yeah I guess we all have to. Just remember to try and have fun too.

Lately, the only fun I have is watching my soaps. And spending time with my boy (my real one, not Brody).

Dale,
I do not post often and I just read your post today and sorry to hear about the loss of your Grandfather. It's never easy to lose a loved one.
And about the crying - never feel foolish or embarassed.

A lot of people here ought to post more often. Its nice to hear from you all. Quote from Dale: Lately, the only fun I have is watching my soaps. And spending time with my boy Something else we agree on. Things aren't going to well for me right now and Days, talking to you and my boyfriend I think are the only things keeping me sane.
